As a member of the venture community, UMI aims to promote DE&I. Under our ESG policy, UMI does not tolerate any discrimination or harassment based on nationality, place of residence, gender, country of origin, ethnicity, skin color, religion, language, etc. Harassment is a human rights issue, and UMI does not tolerate any harassment acts against our officers and employees and at our portfolio companies and investment targets .

Towards the Realization of DE&I

UMI will promote the following matters towards the realization of DE&I:

  • Leadership embodying DE&I and communication
  • Realization of an organizational culture with psychological safety and inclusiveness
  • Recruitment and development of diverse human resources
  • Ensuring transparency
  • Systematic response to unconscious bias
  • Education and training related to DE&I
  • Establishment of an external reporting channel with ensured anonymity
  • Corrective measures when violations are discovered
  • Formulation of strategies and plans including necessary KPIs for promoting DE&I
  • Regular evaluation and feedback

Towards the Eradication of Harassment

UMI will implement the following initiatives towards the eradication of harassment:

  • Incorporation of a statement in the ESG policy that does not tolerate harassment or any form of discrimination
  • Demonstration of management's stance towards the eradication of harassment
  • Construction and fair operation of a safe reporting system
  • Education and training towards the eradication of harassment and discrimination

Established on March 21, 2025
