UMI becomes coordinator for JU-CAT, undertaken by METI and MoIAT

Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd. (UMI) serves as coordinator in Japan for the Japan-UAE Coordination scheme for Advanced Technology (JU-CAT), which was ratified in January of this year between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Industry & Advanced Technology (MoIAT).

The goal of JU-CAT is to foster future innovations and young talent in Japan and the UAE. Both countries benefit from this scheme, as investors in the UAE invest in Japanese startup companies that demonstrate an interest in developing business in the UAE and other parts of the world.

As a venture capital company in the material and chemical industries, UMI plays a role in clarifying investment needs in the UAE, seeking out promising Japanese startups that meet those needs, and introducing those startups to the UAE.
